TRF militant held with arms in south Kashmir’s Anantnag, says Police

Srinagar: An active militant of TRF was arrested by armed forces in Wahadan area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Monday.

Quoting a senior police officer, news agency GNS reported that Hafiz Abdulla Malik resident of Ganjipora was arrested during a search operation by joint forces of Police and army’s 3RR during wee hours this morning.

From his possession, one pistol and seven rounds were also recovered, the official said.

During further questioning, the militant led search parties to Katsu forest where armed forces recovered an AK-47, 2 magazine along with 40 rounds from the spot, he added.

As per the officer, the militant was active since 25 September this year.
