JK reports four COVID deaths, 174 infections in last 24 hours

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir, in the last 24 hours, witnessed four COVID deaths and 174 infections taking the number of total active cases in JK to 1,719.

With four more deaths, the death toll now stands at 4,470 and 174 positive cases reported on Friday have pushed the tally of positive cases to 336237.

Of the exact number of 336237 cases, 211297 are from Kashmir and 124940 from the Jammu division.

Officials said that among 174 new cases, 131 belong to Kashmir while 43 are from the Jammu division, adding that the total number of positive cases in Kashmir have reached 211297 including 207557 recoveries and 2,285 deaths while as a total number of positive cases in Jammu have reached to 124940 including 122491 recoveries and 2185 deaths.

The officials said that the total number of active cases in Jammu and Kashmir are 1,719 including 1,455 from Kashmir division and 264 from Jammu.

With 174 more recoveries, the tally of total recoveries in Jammu and Kashmir has reached 330048 which is 98.16 percent of the total cases.

As per the daily information bulletin, 4375869 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while 6,125 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 1,719 persons are in isolation.

According to the bulletin, 3932185 persons have completed the surveillance period and 431370 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 17437316 samples are available.
