JK Admin issues revised rate list of ‘Chochwoer, Lawas, Tchot’

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir administration on Thursday issued a revised rate list for Kashmiri bread consumed commonly in the valley.

The three kinds of bread Chochwoer, Lawasa, and Tchot will be sold as per the revised rate by the Kashmir’s Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs department.

“In suspension of all previous notifications issued on the subject and in the exercise of the powers conferred upon me under SO 145 (E) dated 15 2 1990 issued by the Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution Department of Consumer Affairs; I Dr Abdul Salam Mir, Director Food Civil supplies and Kashmir affairs department Kashmir hereby refix the maximum retail sale rate of local bread Tchot, Chochworu, and Lawasa,” reads an order issued by the department.

“Tchot, Chochworu and Lawasa 45 grams will be sold at Rs: 5. Tchot, Chochworu and Lawasa 95 grams Rs 10,” the order mentioned.

All the bread makers are advised to display rate lists at their shops, failing to this, an action would be taken against the defaulters, it added.
