LeT militant arrested in south Kashmir, ammo recovered: Police

Anantnag: A militant affiliated with The Resistance Front outfit, an offshoot of Lashkar-e-Taiba, was arrested by armed forces in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

A senior police officer said that on specific information Police along with the army and CRPF arrested an active militant of TRF near AL Noor Masjid at Khanabal-Pahalgam (KP), road this morning.

He has been identified as Feroz Ahmad Zargar(34) alias Kamraan, son of Ghulam Mohiuddin resident of Gratabal Qaimoh of Kulgam district, the officer said.

Pertinently, his elder brother,  according to police, Majid Zargar was a top LeT Commander who was killed in 2017 in Arwani village of Anantnag.

Further investigation into the case has been initiated in this regard. (GNS)
