Kashmiri student dies in Bangladesh, family seeks Admin’s help to bring back body

Budgam: A 25-year-old student from central Kashmir’s Budgam district, who was pursuing MBBS in Bangladesh, died on Wednesday.

Official sources said that the student was in her second year at Addin Sakina Medical College Jessore Bangladesh and died during the intervening night of January 11-12.

An official said that cause of death is not known yet. The official identified the deceased as Seema Zehra, daughter of Ghulam Muhammad Bhat of Zaber Mohalla Budgam.

Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has appealed to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs and Jammu and Kashmir administration to help them to bring the students body back for the last rites.

In a tweet, Jammu and Kashmir Students Association J&K Students Association also requested the Jammu and Kashmir’s Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to facilitate the return of the student’s body from Bangladesh.
