Villagers anguished over rising theft incidents in Pulwama village

Pulwama: Locals from a village in south Kashmir’s Pulwama village expressed anguish over the rise in theft incidents while police have also lodged complaints against it.

As per the locals of Astanpora Rahmoo village, the burglars targeted at least seven houses in the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.

They said burglars looted gold ornaments from the house of one Muhammad Ashraf Wani, son of late Abdul Gani Wani.

Besides, looting the house of Wani, burglars also broke windows, doors, and of six other houses, however, failed to loot anything.

Locals said that a day before, burglars looted 5 houses in Tujan village of the district. “We are on our way to register a complaint at the police station,” locals said earlier in the day.

Meanwhile, police have lodged complaint against it and an investigation has been taken up (KNT)
