Militant killed in ongoing military Op in Awantipora, says police 

Awantipora: A militant has been killed in an ongoing military operation in Charsoo area of Awantipora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Tuesday.

Police officials said that a militant has been killed in the ongoing operation, however, the identity of the slain militant is yet to be ascertained.

Earlier, reports reaching said that a joint team of police and army launched a cordon and search operation in Charsoo.

As the joint team of forces approached the suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon them, triggering the operation.
