Military Op against militants starts in Baramulla, says police
Baramulla: A military operation against militants has started in Pariswani area if north kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday, police said.
The police officials said that the operation broke out shortly after joint armed forces including army, CRPF and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir police cordoned off the area following inputs about the presence of militants there.
When reports last came, firing was going on from both sides, however, there was no casualty on either side so far.
Besides the number of trapped militants and their affiliation was not immediately known.
While confirming the operation, kashmir police zone in a tweet tweet said: “Encounter has started at Pariswani area of Baramulla. BudgamPolice and Army on job”.
