Militant killed along LoC in north Kashmir, say officials

Kupwara: A militant was killed as the personnel of India army foiled an infiltration bid at Tangdar sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Kupwara on Friday, officials said.

Officials said that militants were trying to infiltrate along LoC and were intercepted by the Indian army personnel.

“One militant was killed amid on going operation,” they said, adding that additional reinforcement has reached the spot and searches were underway.

At the time of filing this report, the military operation was underway in the area.
