Man stabs mother-in-law in Srinagar, arrested: Police

Srinagar: A woman has sustained critical injuries after allegedly being stabbed by her son-in-law in Srinagar on Monday, police said.

A police official said that a man identified as Jasir Ahmad Gada of Batamaloo Srinagar was arrested for stabbing his mother in law in Rambagh area.

He said police have registered a case in this regard under sections of attempt to murder in Sadar Police station Srinagar. The woman has sustained grievous injuries and is battling for life in SMHS hospital, he said.

Meanwhile, Srinagar police tweeted, “Accused namely Jasir Ahmad Gada of Batmaloo arrested for Stabbing his mother-in-law in Ram Bagh area. Case registered under sections of attempt to murder in Sadar Police station. Victim lady is grievously injured and is battling for life in SMHS Hospital.”
