Military Op against militants starts in north Kashmir, second in day

Baramulla: A military operation against militants has started in Binner area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday evening, police said.

Officials sources said that on a specific input a cordon and search operation was launched in Binner area.

“Encounter has started at Binner area of Baramulla. Police and security forces are on the job. Further details shall follow,” Kashmir Zone Police tweeted.

Pertinently, this is second military operation of the day in the Baramulla district. One newly recruited JeM militants was killed, two armymen and a cop were also injured in the previous operation.
