Local LeT militant killed in overnight military Op in Baramulla, says police

Baramulla: Local militant affiliated with Lashkar-i-Taiba outfit was killed in an overnigh military operation against militants in Binner area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Sunday.

Police officials said that a local militant was killed after forces had laid seize around Binner area during late evening hours on Saturday.

The officiala further said that as the joint team of Police and army moved towards the suspected spot, the hiding militants started firing on the forces, triggering the operation.

Pertinently, a Jaish militant was also killed on Saturday in a separate military operation in Wanigam area of Baramulla.
