Suicide attack on Army camp in Rajouri, 2 fidayeen killed, 5 forces personnel injured
Rajouri: Two fidayeen were killed while five armed forces personnel sustained injuries in a suicide attack bid at Pargal area of Rajouri district, defence officials said on Thursday.
Officials said that two militants while trying to sneak into a post in the dark at Pargal, Rajouri were detected and engaged by forces personnel.
“The militants have been killed while five armed forces personnel also suffered injuries and are being treated,” they said.
Defence officials said that in a militant attack 25 kms from Rajouri, two militants carried out a suicide attack on an army company operating base,” they said.
ADGP Jammu Mukesh Singh said that someone tried to cross the fence of the army camp at Pargal in Darhal area of Rajouri.
“Exchange of fire took place. Additional parties dispatched to the area 6 km from Darhal. Two militants have been killed,” he said. The officials said that the operation is in progress. (KNO)
