Pregnant woman found ‘hanging from ceiling fan’ in south Kashmir

Shopian: A 28-year-old woman died after she was allegedly found hanging from a ceiling fan in Zainapora in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports reaching said the woman (name withheld) was at her parental house at Safanagri village, where she was found hanging from the ceiling fan on Friday evening.

The woman, pregnant for several months now, was removed to a health facility in critical conditions where she died shortly after reaching the health facility.

Confirming it, a police official told the news agency that cognizance has been taken into the matter for due investigations. (GNS)
