Militant involved in killing two non-locals in Shopian arrested: Police

Srinagar: Police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a militant affiliated with Lashkar-i-Taiba outfit, who was responsible for killing two non-local labourers in Harmain area of south Kashmir’s Shopian.

Additional Director General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar said that after two non-local labourers were killed by militants in their rented accommodation, one LeT hybrid militant identified as Imran Ganie resident of Harmain who lobbed grenade on labourers was arrested.

He added that further raids and investigations in this regard are going.

Earlier in the dead of night, two non-local labourers identified as Munish Kumar and Ram Sagar both residents of Kanooj UP were killed after militants lobbed grenade at them when they were in deep sleep at their rented accommodation.
