Srinagar: E-commerce Company Amazon has sent a box stuffed with junk to a customer from Hyderpora area of Srinagar district instead of a laptop costing 85, 000.

The customer has taken to the social media site Twitter to highlight the plight as he seeks inquiry into it.

The customer Yawar Wani had ordered the laptop costing Rs 85,000 from Amazon and on January 14 received a box stuffed with ink drum, brick, stone, cardboard pieces, and some polythene trash. The delivery address for the parcel was Delhi.

Wani termed the service pathetic as he wrote that he reported the same multiple times but nothing happened on the ground.

Quoting the E-Commerce company on Twitter, the customer has sought an explanation on the matter.

“First complaint was lodged on 14th as soon as the parcel was received. They subsequently closed the case on their own saying the investigation team has found out that the item was delivered. However, they provided no proof of the same. Then again I shared the details on Twitter so now the social media team has apparently taken the case but again there are responding to neither calls nor messages,” Wani told Free Press Kashmir.

They denied sharing the details of the investigation under which they primarily closed the case. Customer care constantly kept disconnecting calls after stating there was no resolution left at their end, he added.
