Telangana: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and Telangana IT and Industries Minister, KT Rama Rao, announced that the party members, including ministers, MLAs, and other elected representatives, will boycott Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi’s visit to state’s Warangal city on Saturday.

Modi’s itinerary includes laying the foundation stone for a wagon repair center and participating in a public meeting.

During a press conference held at Telangana Bhavan on Friday, KTR expressed his dissatisfaction with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government of India, accusing them of being unfair to Telangana. He specifically criticized the decision to relocate the railway coach factory from the state to Gujarat.

KTR’s announcement serves as a clear indication of the party’s opposition to the Modi’s visit and the perceived mistreatment of Telangana by the government of India. By boycotting the event, the BRS aims to convey their protest against the shifting of the railway coach factory, which they view as detrimental to the state’s interests.

This move by the BRS highlights the ongoing tensions between the ruling party in Telangana and the BJP-led GoI.

It also demonstrates the party’s determination to defend the state’s rights and interests, as they perceive them to be at stake. The boycott serves as a visible manifestation of their discontent and disagreement with the decisions made by the central government, particularly regarding the railway coach factory’s relocation.
