Man injured after being shot in Anantnag, says police

Anantnag: A student was shot and injured by unknown gunmen on Wednesday evening in Watrigam Wanihama area of Anantnag district.

A top police officer told GNS that suspected militants fired upon a youth identified as Sahil Bashir son of Bashir Ahmad Dar resident of Watrigam Dialgam a student at Wanihama.

He was immediately shifted to nearby hospital for treatment, he has a bullet injury in his neck.

Till this report was being filed his status of condition was not available.

Soon after the incident whole area has been cordoned off by a joint team of armed forces personnel.
