Militancy funding case: NIA seizes properties in Handwara
Handwara: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday seized properties of four persons in a narco-militancy funding case in Handwara area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district, officials said.
Official sources told the news agency Kashmir News Observer that the properties were seized in connection with an investigation of a case RC-03/2020/NIA/JMU related to the narco-militancy.
The accused who properties were attached, include Muneer Ahmed Banday, son of Ghulam Rasool Banday; Afaq Ahmed Wani, son of Ghulam Rasool Wani; Abdul Moomin Peer, son of late Mohammed Asraf Peer and Saleem Andrabi, son of Syed Iftikhar Geelani of Laribal Rajiwar.
Officials said that the properties were identified under proceeds of militancy and were seized with the prior permission from designated authority.
