Bomb threat causes panic on Air Canada flight at Delhi airport; nothing suspicious found
Panic ensued on an Air Canada flight bound for Toronto after the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport received an email alleging a bomb on board, officials reported on Wednesday. The threat was later confirmed to be a hoax.
The Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) office received the email at 10:50 pm on Tuesday, claiming a bomb was planted on the Delhi-Toronto Air Canada flight.
“Following standard security protocols, a thorough inspection was conducted, and nothing suspicious was found,” stated a senior police officer. Legal action is being pursued in response to the incident, he added.
