Srinagar: The region is set to experience weather changes over the coming days, with forecasts predicting intermittent rainfall, thunderstorms, and potential flash floods, local meteorological department said.
Between July 5 and 6, moderate rainfall is expected intermittently across most areas of Jammu and Kashmir, with heavy showers likely in a few locations. On July 7, many areas will see light to moderate rain and thundershowers. Between July 8 and 10, hot and humid weather will prevail, with brief spells of rain and thundershowers anticipated in the Jammu late at night and early in the morning, while scattered rain and thundershowers will occur in the Kashmir. On July 11 and 12, light to moderate rain and thundershowers are expected at scattered locations.
Flash floods, landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones are potential risks in vulnerable areas during July 5 and 6. Temporary waterlogging may affect low-lying areas, and some regions might experience moderate thunderstorms and lightning.
