SC to hear NEET-UG 2024 petitions on July 18

New Delhi: The Supreme Court announced on Thursday that it will hear the petitions concerning the controversial NEET-UG 2024 medical entrance exam on July 18.

A bench led by Chief Justice D Y Chandrachud noted that the Centre and the National Testing Agency (NTA), which administers the exam, have submitted their affidavits in accordance with the court’s July 8 order.

The bench, also including Justices J B Pardiwala and Manoj Misra, remarked that some lawyers representing the petitioners have not yet received these affidavits.

The court has scheduled the hearing for July 18.

The Supreme Court is reviewing multiple petitions related to NEET-UG 2024, including allegations of irregularities and malpractices in the May 5 exam, with some petitioners requesting a retest.
