43-day-long Machail Mata Yatra to start in Kishtwar on July 25
Kishtwar: The 43-day Shree Machail Mata Yatra in Kishtwar district, Jammu and Kashmir, is set to begin on July 25, a senior official announced on Monday, promising improved facilities and enhanced security for pilgrims.
The Deputy Commissioner of Kishtwar, Devansh Yadav, informed PTI that the seven-hour journey to the shrine has been shortened by three hours due to the completion of the Machail-Paddar road up to Chashoti.
Additionally, the holding capacity at various locations has been increased to accommodate 5,000 pilgrims per day.
Yadav said that this year’s yatra will feature online registration and QR-code-based special pilgrim cards to ensure the safety and security of participants.
