Indian doctor held in US for secretly filming nude videos of women, children

An Indian doctor has been arrested in the United States for allegedly secretly filming thousands of nude videos involving children and adults.

The 40-year-old doctor, who has been charged with multiple offenses in Oakland County, Michigan, reportedly installed hidden cameras in bathrooms, changing rooms, hospital rooms, and his home to record the videos.

The crimes came to light when the doctor’s wife handed over the disturbing materials to the authorities, prompting the issuance of several search warrants. During the searches, US authorities seized computers, phones, and external devices containing thousands of nude videos.

The Oakland County Sheriff also revealed that the doctor allegedly recorded sexual encounters with women who were unconscious or asleep. The full extent of the crime will only be understood once the videos are thoroughly examined, a process that may take several months.

The doctor, an Indian citizen, moved to the US on a work visa in 2011 and had worked at various hospitals across the country.

Despite having no prior criminal record, he was charged on August 13 with one count of sexually abusive activity, four counts of capturing images of an unclothed person, and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

Due to the difficulty in identifying the victims, the police have provided an email address for potential victims to reach out to US authorities.
