5.5kg narcotics seized in Rajouri border village, 2 arrested: Officials

Jammu: Armed forces seized 5.5 kg of suspected narcotics in a covert operation in Nowshera, Rajouri district, on Monday.

Acting on specific inputs about a drug smuggling attempt, police and army personnel launched a joint operation in the border area. During intensified searches, two persons were apprehended.

The accused have been identified as Subash Chander, 36, a resident of Kaneti, and Sajan Kumar, 25, a resident of Sher.

A case has been registered, and investigations are underway. (GNS)
