Kulgam: Families appeal Govt to help them tracing their loved ones missing for nearly a month.

Kulgam: Hours after the body of one of the three missing men was found in Kulgam, families of the other two staged protests, demanding their whereabouts.

Riyaz Ahmad Bajard’s body was recovered from Veshow Nallah in the Mah area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Thursday, nearly a month after he, along with Shokit Bajard and Mukhtar Awan, went missing from Qazigund.

The families have urged the government to intensify efforts to trace the remaining two, expressing anguish over the lack of answers. Authorities have launched a probe to determine the cause of death and locate the missing men.

Locals informed the police after spotting Riyaz’s body in the Nallah. The police have shifted it to a hospital for medico-legal formalities. A missing report had been filed at Qazigund police station after the trio disappeared on February 13.

Police have launched an investigation into the circumstances of Riyaz’s death, while the search for Shokit and Mukthar continues.
