Parliament monsoon session.

New Delhi: The Monsoon Session of Parliament began on a stormy note on Monday, with the Lok Sabha adjourned shortly after commencement amid loud protests by Opposition members demanding an immediate discussion on Operation Sindoor and the April 22 Pahalgam attack.

Opposition parties raised slogans and disrupted proceedings, seeking accountability and a detailed statement from the government. The ruckus led to the adjournment of both Houses soon after the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s address.

An all-party meeting was held on July 20 ahead of the session, where the Centre agreed to a debate on Operation Sindoor, though clarity on other Opposition demands — including a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls in Bihar — is still awaited.
