JK Admin makes August 15 attendance mandatory for officers in Srinagar, Jammu
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir administration has instructed all government officers and staff based in Srinagar and Jammu to attend the main events on August 15, 2025. These will be held at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar and Maulana Azad Stadium in Jammu.
As per a circular from the General Administration Department (GAD), attending the Independence Day function is part of official duty. Any absence will only be allowed with prior permission from the employee’s immediate superior.
All Administrative Secretaries, Department Heads, and leaders of public sector units have been told to ensure that their staff stationed in Srinagar or Jammu are present at the celebrations in their respective cities.
