Srinagar: The District Police Headquarters Srinagar has ordered a major reshuffle, transferring 20 police officers, including Inspectors and PSIs, to different police stations across the district with immediate effect.

The order, issued “in the interest of administration” and signed by the Senior Superintendent of Police Srinagar, involved new postings of Station House Officers (SHOs) at several key police stations including Shergari, Kral Khud, Shaheed Gunj, Bemina, Khanyar, Batmaloo and others.

As per the order, Inspector Mohd Ishaq has been appointed SHO Shergari, Inspector Irshad Ahmad to Khanyar, Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad to Kral Khud, and Inspector Tanveer Ahmad to Bemina. PSI Suhail Anees will now head Shaheed Gunj, Inspector Wasim Jehangir has been posted to Batmaloo, while Inspector Sheikh Wakeel Ahmad has taken charge at Sadder. Inspector Sabzar Ahmad has been appointed SHO Parimpora, Inspector Rabinder Singh to Safa Kadal, and Inspector Irshad Ahmad to Pantha Chowk. Inspector Ghulam Mohammad has been shifted to DPL Srinagar.

Other changes include PSI Sartaj Ahmad as In-charge PP Rangreth, SI Imtiyaz Mohammad as In-charge PP Noorbagh, and Inspector Mohd Shahnawaz as SHO Ram Munshi Bagh. PSI Amandeep Singh has been posted to Chanpora, Inspector Towseef Habib to Rajbagh, Inspector Showkat Ahmad to Shalteng, while Inspectors Bilal Ahmad Khanday, Ranbeer Singh, and Museer Asgar have been attached to DPL Srinagar.

The order also relieves four probationary DySPs of the 2023 batch—who had been functioning as SHOs at Shergari, Khanyar, Kral Khud, and Bemina—directing them, including Ms. Shahila Sanson (JKPS 236354), to report back to DPL Srinagar for further training under the practical programme.

The police headquarters has instructed immediate compliance, with all concerned officers relieved from their previous postings. SHOs, SDPOs, and zonal officers have been duly informed to act on the transfer order.
