JK Govt seeks suggestions from stakeholders to compensate academic loss of students
Srinagar: The government has sought suggestions from the concerned stakeholders about compensating for academic losses faced by the students due to the frequent closure of schools.
Sakina Itoo, Education Minister, said, “This year, a lot of time has been wasted for the students due to the different situations.”
“Earlier, the schools were closed because of the war-like situation followed by the floods in many areas of J&K,” she said.
The minister further said, “This has definitely affected the syllabus and in this regard we have sought suggestions from all stakeholders, including the parents, students, and the general public.”
“Whatever will be possible and feasible, the government will do it for the betterment of the students,” Itoo said.
She further said that during the floods, at least 40 schools were badly damaged because of the mud and silt. (KNO)
