Speaker slams omission of ex-Langate MLA Panditpori from assembly obituary references
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly speaker Abdul Rahim Rather on Thursday criticised the administration after the name of former Langate MLA Muhammad Sultan Panditpori was omitted from the obituary references in the Assembly.
He rebuked the Kupwara district administration for not notifying the Assembly Secretariat about Panditpori’s demise, calling it an act of negligence.
“This reflects an irresponsible attitude,” the Speaker said, expressing displeasure over the failure of the authorities to convey the information.
