Another key associate in Red Fort car-bomb case arrested, says NIA
Srinagar: The National Investigation Agency on Monday said that, as part of its ongoing probe into the Red Fort area car-bomb blast case, it has arrested another key associate of the accused involved in the attack.
In a statement to GNS , the NIA said that Jasir Bilal Wani, alias Danish, a resident of Kashmir, was arrested from Srinagar by an NIA team visiting the Valley in connection with case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.
According to the agency, its investigation has revealed that Jasir had allegedly provided technical support for carrying out terror attacks by modifying drones and attempting to make rockets ahead of the deadly car-bomb blast, which killed 10 people and injured 32.
The accused, a resident of Qazigund in Anantnag district, was an active co-conspirator and had worked closely with the terrorist Umar un Nabi to plan the attack, the agency said.
The NIA added that it continues to probe multiple angles to unravel the conspiracy behind the bombing. Several teams of the anti-terror agency are pursuing various leads and conducting searches across states to identify everyone involved in the attack, the statement said. (GNS)
