Ladakh continued to witness severe conditions, with Leh freezing at minus 6.6°C, Nubra Valley at minus 5.0°C, and Kargil at minus 4.8°C.

The persistent low temperatures across the region are expected to intensify in the coming days as the 40-day harsh winter period, Chillai Kalan, approaches. Meteorologists say further drops are likely unless a fresh western disturbance brings cloud cover or snowfall.
