MHA orders IAS, IPS reshuffle in AGMUT cadre; several officers transferred to and from JK

Srinagar: The Ministry of Home Affairs has ordered a reshuffle of IAS and IPS officers in the AGMUT cadre, transferring several officers out of Jammu and Kashmir while posting others to the Union Territory.

According to orders, five IAS officers were shifted from the JK segment of the cadre. Santosh D Vaidya, principal secretary (finance), and Niraj Kumar, administrative secretary in the Public Grievance Department, have been transferred to Delhi.

Syed Abid Rashid Shah, secretary in the Health and Medical Education Department, has been posted to Chandigarh, while Saloni Rai, deputy commissioner of Udhampur, has been moved to Delhi. Baseer Ul Haq Chaudhary, mission director of the National Health Mission, has been transferred to Ladakh.

At the same time, six IAS officers from other AGMUT segments have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir. They include Ashwani Kumar (Delhi segment, 1992 batch), R Alice Vaz (Delhi segment, 2005), Anjali Sehrawat (Delhi segment, 2013), Sagar D Dattatray (Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, 2014), Akriti Sagar (Arunachal Pradesh, 2016), and Kumar Abhishek (Delhi segment, 2016).

The MHA also effected a mild reshuffle of IPS officers. Rajinder Kumar Gupta, additional director at SKPA Udhampur, has been transferred to Puducherry, while Shobhit D Saksena, SSP Security, has been moved to Delhi.

Three IPS officers have been posted to Jammu and Kashmir: Prashant Priya Gautam (Delhi segment, 2013), Sudhanshu Dharma (Arunachal Pradesh segment, 2016), and Sunny Gupta (Andaman and Nicobar Islands segment, 2020).
