Srinagar: Snowfall is very likely in the higher reaches of north, central and south Kashmir on Thursday, according to the latest weather forecast.

Higher areas of Kupwara and Bandipora districts, including Razdan Top, Gurez and the Tulail Valley, are expected to receive snowfall. Similar conditions are forecast for Ganderbal district, particularly Sonamarg and surrounding areas along the Sonamarg–Drass axis.

In south Kashmir, snowfall is likely in Anantnag district, especially in Pahalgam and adjoining areas such as Chandanwari and Aru Valley.

Light snowfall is also possible at Gulmarg, and across the Pir Panjal range, including Mughal Road, Sinthan Top and Margan Top, the forecast said.

Authorities have advised travellers and residents in high-altitude areas to exercise caution, as snowfall may affect road connectivity and visibility.
