20 Govt offices in Budgam operating from rented buildings, no unified complex planned: Govt
Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir government has informed the Legislative Assembly that as many as 20 government offices in Budgam district are functioning from rented premises, and that there is no proposal under consideration for constructing a unified government office complex at the sub-district level.
According to a written reply tabled in the Legislative Assembly, the Public Works (R&B) Department said that “as on date, 20 government offices of different departments in District Budgam are functioning from rented buildings.”
The government, however, said that “no such proposal for construction of a unified Government Office Complex at sub-district level is under consideration either with this Department or with the Revenue Department.” (KNO)
