Militant killed in ongoing military Op in Ganderbal, says army
Ganderbal: Indian Army’s Chinar Corps on Wednesday morning said that a militant was killed in an ongoing military operation in the Arhama forest area of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
Taking on micro-blogging platform X, the army’s Chinar Corps wrote, “During the night of 31 Mar 26, the cordon was tactically reorganised amidst the intermittent firing underway. Own troops effectively retaliated with calibrated response resulting in one terrorist eliminated. Operation is in progress”, reads the post.
An official told GNS that based on specific intelligence inputs, a joint team of police and the army launched a cordon and search operation on Tuesday evening.
During the search, contact was established with hiding militants, leading to the operation. He further said that Operation was halted due to darkness and resumed this morning with the first ray of light.
