US fighter pilot ejects from aircraft in southwest Iran, reports Iranian state TV
‘If you capture the enemy pilot or pilots alive and hand them over to the police, you will receive a precious prize’, report says
An Iranian state television channel on Friday reported that a US fighter pilot had ejected from an aircraft over southwestern Iran, Associated Press reported.
However, the report mentioned that there was no immediate response from American authorities.
The announcement was read by an anchor on a channel based in Kohkilouyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province, stating: “If you capture the enemy pilot or pilots alive and hand them over to the police, you will receive a precious prize.”
A separate on-screen ticker urged viewers to “shoot them if you see them,” referencing social media videos that purportedly showed US aircraft in the region.
No further details were provided by the channel.
The US Central Command, the Pentagon and the White House did not immediately respond to requests from AP for comment.
