Rajnath Singh meets Chinese, Russian counterparts on SCO sidelines in Bishkek

New Delhi: Defence Minister of India Rajnath Singh on Tuesday met his Chinese counterpart Dong Jun on the sidelines of a multilateral meeting in Bishkek.

As per reports, the two leaders reviewed the overall situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC), though there was no official statement detailing the outcome of the talks.

“It was a pleasure to interact with the Defence Minister of China, Admiral Dong Jun, during the SCO Defence Ministers’ Meeting in Bishkek,” Singh said in a post on social media.

The defence minister also held a separate meeting with Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov.

“Great interaction with Russian Defence Minister Andrei Belousov during the SCO Defence Ministers’ Meet in Bishkek,” Singh said.

Singh arrived in Bishkek on Monday to attend the defence ministers’ conclave of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation.
