Mirwaiz extends Kheer Bhawani greetings to Kashmiri Pandits
Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir’s chief cleric, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, on Sunday extended greetings to the Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion of the annual Mela Kheer Bhawani festival.
In a message, the Mirwaiz said, “On the occasion of Mela Kheer Bhawani, I extend my warm greetings to our Kashmiri Pandit brethren. May this day renew the spirit of mutual respect, brotherhood and the shared heritage of Kashmir that we inherited.”
He expressed hope that the festival would strengthen communal harmony and reinforce the bonds of coexistence that have long been part of Kashmir’s cultural fabric.
