Bear attacks in less than 24 hours trigger concern in Srinagar’s Khonmoh
Srinagar: Bear attacks have triggered concern in Khonmoh on the outskirts of Srinagar after a 57-year-old woman was injured in a bear attack on Monday, less than 24 hours after a man was mauled by the animal in the area.
An official said that the woman was injured in a bear attack this morning near her residence in Shah Mohalla area of Khonmoh.
He said the woman was later identified as Fatima, 57, wife of Mohammad Maqbool Wani, a resident of Shah Mohalla, Khonmoh.
Pertinently, the incident comes a day after a man was injured in a bear attack in the Shiv Dakri area of Khonmoh. The back-to-back incidents within less than 24 hours have triggered concern among residents in the area.
