A series of attacks by Russian drones hit Brovary in the Kyiv region early on Tuesday. Fires broke out at three different points in the community, which caused damage to some civilian infrastructure, the Kyiv Regional Military Administration said.

“The strikes have targeted the Brovary community where fires were reported at three points after an overnight drone attack,” the administration added in a statement. “An office building and warehouse facilities are also damaged.” Ukrainian News Agency Ukrinform reported.

Firefighting crews were called upon to extinguish the flames and investigate the extent of the destruction in those places. Initially, it was reported that there have been no casualties as a result of the recent strike against Brovary.

This attack formed part of a larger Russian drone attack on Ukraine overnight. According to Ukrainian authorities, Russia deployed 147 drones of different types and air defences successfully shot down 111 of them. There have also been strikes at 19 locations.

Brovary — a city north-east of Kyiv — has previously been attacked multiple times as part of Russia’s aerial campaign against Ukraine. However, we cannot verify these latest claims independently, nor do we know whether Russian officials would issue comments immediately if they had further details about this event.

In recent weeks, Ukraine has experienced frequent overnight drone strikes from Russian forces hitting at civilian infrastructure as well as various other facilities on Ukrainian soil.
