Three killed, six injured in separate road accidents across Kashmir

Anantnag: Four separate road accidents were reported across Kashmir on Tuesday, leaving three people dead and at least six others injured, including five CRPF personnel.

In Shopian, a woman died and her son suffered minor injuries after their scooty skidded off the road at Amerbugh in the Imamsahib area. The deceased was identified as Saja Banoo, wife of Ghulam Qadir Naikoo of Kharwara. She was travelling as a pillion rider with her son, Shakeel Ahmad Naikoo, when the scooty slipped off the road. Saja Banoo sustained critical injuries and died on the spot, while her son suffered minor injuries.

In Qazigund, five CRPF personnel were injured when their vehicle collided with a truck near Levdura along the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The injured personnel were identified as Inspector Raj Kumar Tiwari, SI/GD Rajinder Singh, ASI/GD Lovenday, ASI/GD Umesh Kumar and Head Constable Driver Virender. They were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, a scooty rider was killed after his two-wheeler collided with a truck at Fruit Mandi Parimpora in Srinagar. The victim was identified as Muhammad Anwar Magray, son of Muhammad Abdullah Magray of Kilwar Tangmarg. He was taken to a nearby hospital by the truck driver but was declared dead on arrival.

In another accident, a woman was injured when a Honda City collided with a dumper near Medical College at Sempora on the Srinagar-Anantnag highway. She was shifted to Kashmir Medical College, Sempora, for treatment. (KNT)
