Eid-i-Milad holiday adjusted: August 25 non-sitting day, Aug 26 holiday for JK High Court

Srinagar: The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has revised its holiday schedule, declaring August 25, 2026, as a non-sitting day, August 26 as a holiday, and December 19 as a working day.

According to a notification issued by the Office of the Registrar General on August 18, August 25, which was earlier listed as a holiday on account of Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), will now be observed as a non-sitting day for the High Court.

In lieu of August 25, Wednesday, August 26, 2026, has been declared a holiday.

The notification further stated that Saturday, December 19, 2026, which was earlier declared a non-sitting day under High Court Order No. 1313 of 2026/RG/NG-15(1) dated June 19, 2026, will now be observed as a working day.

The adjustment has been made in lieu of the August 25 holiday. The order has been issued for the information of all concerned.
