Bear mauls man in Tral’s Gulshanpora; locals flag wildlife threat
Pulwama: A man was injured after being mauled by a bear in the Gulshanpora area of Tral in South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Monday.
The injured has been identified as Muhammad Anwar, a resident of Gulshanpora.
Following the attack, Anwar was shifted for medical treatment and was subsequently referred to the Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tral.
Locals have alleged that despite apprising the Wildlife Department about the movement of wild animals in the area, nothing is being done to save the humans and cattle. [KNT]
