29-year-old woman dies after falling from hillside while cutting grass in Reasi
Reasi: A 29-year-old woman died after slipping from a hillside while cutting grass in the Chassana area of Reasi district on Wednesday, officials said.
An official said that the woman was cutting grass on a hillside when she slipped and fell around 200–300 metres, resulting in her death on the spot.
The deceased was identified as Sajo Begum, 29, a resident of Manjikote Morha Balsaran in Mahore tehsil. The police have initiated an investigation into the incident.
Reasi district has predominantly hilly and mountainous terrain, with residents in remote areas often undertaking agricultural and livestock-related activities on steep slopes.
Grass cutting and collection is a routine activity for many families, but working on uneven and steep terrain can pose risks of slips and falls.
