Three killed, 11 injured after truck collides with bus in Uttarakhand
An Indian truck slammed into a bus along a main highway close to Tehri village in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, leaving three people dead and 11 wounded, Amar Ujala reported Thursday.
The cause of the collision near the village, about 400 kilometres north of New Delhi, had not been immediately disclosed by authorities, along with details about those killed and wounded. Emergency workers and locals rushed to the accident site, and the injured were ferried to hospitals, according to preliminary reports.
The condition of the injured was not immediately known.
Police were investigating the cause of the accident and said it was unclear if poor weather conditions or any mechanical defect of the vehicles were responsible for the collision
