Delegates from 39 countries visit Ladakh’s Petroglyph Conservation Park during Raisina Forum
Leh: Delegates from 39 countries attending the Raisina Forum in Ladakh visited India’s first and only Petroglyph Conservation Park on the banks of the Sindhu River, highlighting the region’s rich cultural heritage and ancient rock art.
According to a post by Lok Niwas Ladakh on X, the park, which is currently in the final stages of completion, showcases ancient petroglyphs and represents a significant effort to preserve Ladakh’s historical and cultural legacy.
Situated along the banks of the Sindhu River, which has nurtured several civilisations over centuries, the conservation park aims to protect and promote the region’s ancient rock art and archaeological heritage.
Lok Niwas Ladakh described the visit by the international delegates as a major step towards showcasing Ladakh’s rich history, ancient culture and cultural legacy to a global audience.
The visit is expected to enhance international awareness of Ladakh’s historical significance and highlight the importance of preserving its ancient heritage for future generations.
