JK weather likely to remain dry today, rain and gusty winds expected from tomorrow

Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir is expected to experience mainly dry weather today, with light rain and gusty winds likely at scattered to many places from tomorrow.

A Meteorological Department official said weather conditions would remain predominantly dry across J&K on October 5.

From October 6 to 10, the region is likely to see partly to generally cloudy skies, with light rain at several places. Light snowfall is also possible over higher reaches, along with thunderstorms and gusty winds at scattered to many locations.

The weather is expected to remain partly cloudy from October 11 to 15, the official said.

In view of the forecast of inclement weather between October 6 and 10, farmers have been advised to make proper arrangements for the safe storage of apple and paddy crops.
