Srinagar: A militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter in Bahmoo village of Pulwama district of the valley.
The slain militant has been identified as Kifayat, a local, by the police.
The police also informed that two more militants are still holed up.
However, the locals are alleging the another militant has also been killed. The police has not confirmed it yet.
The operation started when a search and cordon operation was launched in the village after the forces received inputs about militant presence in the area.
Meanwhile, reports of intense stone pelting are coming in from Kakpora village of Pulwama. An army convoy was passing through the village and the youth pelted stones on it resulting in massive clashes.
